Blueprint to Portfolio was created to support students who are interested in architecture, design, or creative fields but don't know where to begin.
When I first started exploring architecture, I had no idea that a portfolio was required or what it should include.
This project aims to demystify the portfolio process by providing clear guidance, examples, and real-world insights so students from any school, not just my own, can confidently build a strong portfolio. Through an accessible website, a school-based club, social media outreach, and interviews with practicing architects, Blueprint to Portfolio empowers aspiring architects to understand expectations, prepare for Portfolio Day, and navigate the architecture major with confidence.
Hi! I'm Yael, a high school student with a passion for architecture, design, and helping other students explore their interests. I created Blueprint to Portfolio to make architecture feel more accessible to high school students by sharing the information, resources, and opportunities I wish I had when I started exploring the field.
Through BtoP, I hope to help students discover architecture, build their portfolios, find opportunities, and feel more confident taking their first steps toward architecture school.
